J S Wright has been awarded a £1.3 million contract by principal contractor Thomas Vale Construction to fit out a new £12.5 million extra care scheme at Oak Lane in West Bromwich.
Work on Goldfield Court, which will have 93 apartments for the over 55s along with a shop, restaurant and a hair and beauty salon, is set to start this month with completion scheduled for the end of this year.
J S Wright will be designing and installing underfloor heating, VRV (variant refrigerant volume) heating and cooling, heat recovery ventilation, and domestic water and soil and waste services throughout the development.
Goldfield Court marks J S Wright's second extra care project for Thomas Vale after it was commissioned to fit out Lightmoor Village in Telford for Bournville Village Trust.
Glen Schofield, housing director for Thomas Vale Construction, said: 'We are proud of our relationship with both Housing 21 and our supply chain partners including J S Wright whose performance on our Lightmoor Village development secured them this work in Sandwell.'
Marcus Aniol, managing director of J S Wright, said: 'We are delighted to have been awarded this contract which reinforces our excellent standing in the extra care sector.'
