Northumberland biomass boiler specialist IXUS Energy has appointed Phil Todd as regional sales manager.
A former Merchant Navy Navigation Officer and heating industry expert, Mr Todd will help to bring the company's range of boilers from Swedish manufacturer Effecta to market. He has extensive experience of the heating industry, particularly in the renewable sector.

After returning to the UK in 1986 having served in the Middle East with the Merchant Navy, he started to work in the heating industry as a sales manager. In 2000, he switched to the renewable energy sector, selling ground source heat pumps and solar thermal systems when they were still relatively new to the market.

In his role with IXUS Energy he is expected to increase the company's network of installer partners, ensuring the products have as many routes to market as possible.
