Industry's ambassadors go back to school

Four individuals who had picked up gongs at the National Training awards 2007 went back to school to educate and inspire pupils about the Building Services Engineering industry.

The winners returned to their old high schools to tell pupils about the opportunities and benefits of working in the BSE sector.

These BSE ambassadors were-

Richard Crook from Airedale Mechanical and Electrical in Guiseley - Plumbing Craft Operative of the Year
Gavin Jones from Integral in Manchester - Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning Craft Operative of the Year
Nick Bloore from engineering firm, Bailey - Experienced Existing Worker of the Year
James Bamber from E Poppleton & Sons in Colwyn Bay - H&V Craft Operative and Best of the Best.

Michael Reeves from SummitSkills, said: 'I would like to thank our 2007 winners for their participation in this schools project. They are a great inspiration for those considering entering the industry and will, I'm sure, go some way to attracting new entrants.'
