IE-CHP (UK & Eire) names new MD

Colin Gardner has been appointed managing director of IE-CHP (UK & Eire), the joint venture between Intelligent Energy and Scottish and Southern Energy (SSE).
He joins from the Glen Dimplex Group, where he held a variety of senior management roles, and was most recently managing director of Glen Dimplex Boilers. Prior to the Glen Dimplex Group, he was international trade director for UKTI.

In his new role Mr Gardner will be responsible for driving the market expansion and commercialisation of the low-carbon combined heat and power (CHP) systems technology and products from IE-CHP.

His extensive experience of running joint ventures in Europe, China and Latin America and knowledge of the heating, power systems, and construction sectors will enable IE-CHP to capitalise on market opportunities as commercial and residential customers seek to reduce their carbon footprint.
