Ideal sponsors West Brom women's team

Ideal Heating has become the principal sponsor of West Bromwich Albion’s Women’s team.

The deal, which began before the English Lionesses’ landmark victory at the UEFA Women’s Championship, comes to fruition at a crucial time for women’s sport.

Chief Executive of Ideal Heating, Shaun Edwards, commented: “It’s incredibly important to us that we’ve extended our role as principal sponsor across both WBA’s men’s and women’s teams. As a business, it’s a priority for us to open up more opportunities for women to enter our industry and enjoy successful careers in engineering. We take our role in supporting women’s sport equally seriously and it is rewarding being able to bolster the country’s wealth of female athletes, as well as encouraging a new generation of fans to tune in or take part.”

“We’ve loved getting to know the local supporters over the years and will continue to focus on our charity and community work throughout this next year. We’re excited to represent parity of sponsorship between both West Brom’s men’s and women’s teams and look forward to continuing to support their strides to bigger successes soon.”

Mark Miles, managing director of WBA, said: “I’d certainly like to place on record how appreciative we are to have such a fantastic sponsor in Ideal Heating. Our extended partnership has meant a lot to the club and we’re incredibly pleased to see that support now spread across both teams.”

“This new sponsorship will bring additional funding which will play a significant role in the continued success and development of the women’s team and is a testament to the wonderful effort of all the staff, players and volunteers that work tirelessly to progress the WBA women’s side.”
