Ideal has donated a top of the range, high-spec Logic Combi 26 boiler to a charity that helps families in crisis.
The Hull Families' Project offers families advice and services on a wide range of issues, from financial problems to relationship issues and is one of a number of small charities in Hull supported by the SMILE Foundation.
The Project recently received support locally to refurbish its building, but soon after the refurbishment the boiler broke down and couldn't be repaired.
The SMILE Foundation found a local installer who offered to donate his time free of charge. When Ideal heard about the situation, the company was happy to help and donated the boiler.
Andrew Barber, SMILE Foundation's charity manager, contacted Ideal after working with the firm on a previous project for a hospice in Hull. He said: 'I was so pleased that Ideal were happy to help out with a new boiler for the charity. It has proved to be a perfect boiler and the Project is very grateful for all the support.'
Head of marketing at Ideal, Carrie Young, said: 'The charity had done a lot of work to refurbish its building, but without the boiler it would have been unusable. The Hull Families' Project is a very worthy cause and we were delighted to help.'
