HPA to launch ‘Roadmap’ and vision for the future

The Heat Pump Association (HPA) has an event at Westminster for the launch of its ‘Roadmap’ document outlining the heat pump industry’s vision for how the deployment of heat pumps can scale up to meet net zero by 2050.

The report signals the industry’s readiness to ‘step-up’ to this challenge and how the government can work with industry to ensure that decarbonisation is achieved.

The event, ‘Heat Pumps – Transforming the UK Home Heating Market Roadmap & Vision for the Future’, will take place November 20 for invited guests.

Graham Wright, chairman of the HPA, will be speaking at the event, alongside Jenny Hill of the Committee on Climate Change (the CCC).

Graham Wright said: “Changes in government policy, such as the commitment to decarbonise heating, represent a huge opportunity for the heat pump industry. Heat pumps are a low-carbon heating system available right now but they will only fulfil their promise in the market with greater awareness of how heat pumps function and the long-term benefits they bring to users.”

He added: “I am confident this event and the launch of the Roadmap document will convey the messages needed to help heat pumps become the heating system of choice for a greener future.”
