Hoval sales and marketing engineer, Rebecca Chapman, is one of 12 women profiled in a report led by Atkins consultants in association with The Royal Academy of Engineering.
The report - 'Britain's got talented female engineers' - aims to inspire more women to choose a career in engineering and presents the findings of a survey of 300 female engineers nationwide.
Male engineering students at university currently outnumber women seven to one, leading to under-representation of women in the engineering workforce. The aim of the survey was to find out what women in industry feel about their own career paths and how they think industry can encourage more young women to follow in their footsteps.
Hoval's engineering and service director Kevin Stones said: 'Rebecca's position and progress within Hoval are clear indications of our commitment to equality in the workplace. Women have a vital role to play in the engineering sector and it is essential for the health and prosperity of the industry that positive measures are taken to encourage more women to pursue a career in engineering.'
