HEVAR attracts top industry experts

Top industry experts will be giving their views in the seminars at the forthcoming HEVAR Show 2012, which takes place in the HEVAR seminar theatre at the NEC from 22-24th May.
Visitors can pre-register to attend the show via the show website, with free access to seminars on a first-come, first-served basis.

Industry association seminars include:

* The Heat Pump Association will be presenting a comprehensive 2.5 hour programme on Tuesday 22nd May on heat pump technologies and their applications.
* On Wednesday 23rd May the HVCA will host a day of presentations in the HEVAR Seminar Theatre. Topics covered in this session will range from

- Delivering the promise - why failure to integrate undermines everything
- Multi-skilling and multi-disciplinary teams - the keys to successful project delivery
- Launch of the new System Integrator Guide
- Funding streams - how the money works for building services specialists
- How to save energy you don't need to use and get paid for the energy you do use with smart controls
- What technologies are winning the funding bonus:Zero Carbon Hub
- The future role for renewables and how integration helps
- The Integration Panel debate: Integration is not universal. Why not and what are the consequences?

Key sessions in the programme include:

* Building Design with a description of a case study of the design and process of BREEAM Outstanding, DEC and EPC A rated building - Nigel Holden: Head of Energy and the Environment at the Co-operative Group, alongside Mark Johnson, Associate at Buro Happold.
* Commissioning Management - presented by Glenn Hawkins of BSRIA
* Presenting on policy in the heating sector, in particular the RHI and RHPPs at the domestic scale - Grace Bennett, Micropower Council

Hot topics to be discussed in the programme include:

* Energy management in domestic and commercial buildings - Alex Gardiner of Kyle Electronic Design Ltd
* Humidification - presented by Lindsey Henderson of Humidity Solutions Ltd
* Clean Air for people in Energy Efficient Buildings(Indoor Air Quality and Energy reduction) - Peter Dyment of Camfil
* Building Services Pump Legislation Changes /Solution and Water Hammer in High Rise Buildings - presented by David Boardman of Smedegaard

Running parallel to the seminar programme will be the exhibition itself, which will feature leading names from across the HEVAC industry showcasing the latest products and services. Visitors to HEVAR 2012 will also be able to gain free entry to the co-located Sustainabilitylive! exhibition in Halls 3 & 3a at the NEC Birmingham. Both shows will offer attendees 84 hours of seminars and 240 speakers in six theatres plus much more.
