Heating helpline hopes to answer efficiency call

The HVCA has unveiled a free heating helpline service to boost energy efficiency in the home.
“The Heating Helpline is a free service designed to provide expert guidance on every aspect of energy-efficient heating and cooling in the home,” said chief executive Robert Higgs.

As well as launching the new service, a handbook called 'Your Guide to Home Heating' has been produced for free for consumers. Energy saving, gas safety, boiler maintenance, renewable technologies and how to avoid 'rogue traders' are all covered in the booklet.

Householders can access advice either by phoning 0800 840 4069 or by visiting HeatingHelpline
