Glen Dimplex appoints technical products manager

Glen Dimplex Boilers has appointed Martin Jones to the newly-created role of technical product manager. His appointment follows a period of accelerated growth by the company.

Mr Jones will be tasked with providing technical support for commercial and customer care teams and also assumes responsibility for supporting customers and installers, as well as managing the firm's exclusive college training programme for merchants and installers. In addition, he will liaise directly with industry bodies and external development houses on all technical issues.

A former apprentice in mechanical engineering and apprentice of the year in 2003, Mr Jones has over nine years' experience in the heating industry. Before joining Glen Dimplex Boilers he rose from the position of heating engineer at Premier Energy Solutions, to become general manager at STL Plumbing and Heating, responsible for social housing heating contracts. He is fully trained in renewable energies.
