Giacomini receives RIBA CPD approval

Giacomini, one of the UK’s leading underfloor heating providers, is now offering a Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) approved CPD course to architects and construction professionals.

The underfloor heating course explores the theory behind radiant heating, in addition to looking at the benefits of underfloor heating and the make up and design of a system. The course also explains heat transfer, design factors and component applications and gives participants an understanding of how and why underfloor heating systems work.

The one hour presentation covers:

  • Theory behind underfloor heating.
  • Benefits of underfloor heating.
  • System components.
  • What influences the output?
  • System design.
  • Types of floor build-up.

RIBA members can now take the course to contribute towards their CPD qualifications. The RIBA course will complement Giacomini’s existing Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) approved CPD offering on underfloor heating and heat interface units.

To arrange a seminar, or for more information, please contact Helen Gibbons, technical support manager at Giacomini, on 01454 311012 or email helen.gibbons@giacomini.co.uk.
