GDL helps St Francis Xavier College in Liverpool

As part of Liverpool Schools Investment Programme, funded by Liverpool City Council, St Francis Xavier College has benefited from a complete overhaul of its facilities.

This £7.6m project has a new state of the art science laboratory and sports centre, as well as significant refurbishment to many parts of the original school, vastly improving its facilities.

GDL designed and supplied bespoke Intelivent Wall Units incorporating Linear Bar Grilles to suit Sport England specification. Under the legislation set by Sport England the products supplied must adhere to their specifications for sports facilities nationally. The Linear Bar Grilles had to be impact resistant to withstand any force when playing ball games within the facility.

GDL’s Intelivent Wall Units were specified to ventilate the sports hall. They allow fresh air to enter the sports facility passing through a series of grilles and dampers allowing a controlled environment. Natural ventilation is a particularly effective method of ventilating open spaces with a high occupancy such as a sports hall.

Bespoke products are manufactured at GDL’s Glossop or Sheffield facilities to meet clients’ specific requirements.

Intelivent Wall Units can be design and manufactured to fit any bespoke size depending on the ventilation requirements of the building.
