The Gas Safety Trust has appointed Luther Pendragon as its public affairs agency to support the work of developing relationships with parliamentarians and government officials.
The Gas Safety Trust say the new campaign will complement the organisation's on-going bid to raise awareness of gas and fuel safety matters.
Nigel Dumbrell, head of charitable operations, said: 'Luther Pendragon won the competitive public affairs brief by demonstrating an excellent knowledge and understanding of both the energy sector and our own aims and ambitions. We are looking forward to working together with the experienced and enthusiastic Luther Pendragon team to promote awareness of gas and fuel safety.'
Currently, The Gas Safety Trust is working on lobbying the Energy Bill 2010-11 Review Committee members to consider the inclusion of a mandatory clause to install audible carbon monoxide alarms in all potential 23 million retrofit properties under the Government's proposed 'Green Deal' over the next 15 years.
