Fläkt Woods to attend AUE conference

Fläkt Woods will be attending the 2014 AUE (Association of University Engineers) Conference, which is due to be held at the University of Bradford on 3, 4 and 5 September. The theme of this year’s event will focus on ‘Building a Self-Sustainable Future: Making a Difference Together’.

Fläkt Woods aims to allow engineers attending the conference to find out about the range of products it manufactures, plus discuss individual projects and learn how to effectively integrate ventilation into new and existing educational buildings.

The AUE is a UK-wide organisation that spans over 100 institutions and includes over 400 individual members. The conference is held at a different university each year and includes a programme of seminars, excursions and networking events over the three days.

Mike Tilly, strategic accounts manager at Fläkt Woods, explained why the company was attending this year’s event: “We work day in, day out with engineers, advising them on solutions; whether it is optimising efficiencies, complying with latest legislation or designing a system. The conference presents us with a great opportunity to have an informal chat with members of the AUE, where we can share our experiences, discuss their current needs and potentially provide ideas for the future.
“It’s also a chance to raise the awareness of Fläkt Woods, highlighting the company’s experience and expertise in the ventilation sector.”

Fläkt Woods has worked on various projects within the education sector and its aim is to highlight potential deficiencies with system designs and current installed systems. By speaking to Fläkt Woods’ technical team, engineers can obtain expert advice on reducing long term running costs, as well as designing an efficient solution for all their ventilation and air climate requirements.

Fläkt Woods develops, manufactures and distributes ventilation and air climate products, as well as system solutions for commercial and industrial applications.
