Ferroli's Optimax 25 OV domestic boiler has been selected as a 'Best Buy' in the September 2008 boiler report conducted by independent consumer products test house - Which?
Praised for its simplicity, low emissions, efficiency and ease of installation, the open-vented boiler from Ferroli achieved an overall score of 72% putting it firmly in the 'Best Buy' winning line-up - out of all the Gas combination boilers, open vented gas boilers and oil fired boilers tested.
As part of the survey, the Ferroli model was rated at the maximum five-star level for efficiency and NOx emissions and four stars for power use, ease of use and ease of installation. It was also labeled: '...the first boiler we've tested that is exactly as efficient as the manufacturers claims' - endorsing the importance Ferroli places on delivering the most efficient products to the market.
Ferroli Marketing Manager, Nicola Cox said: 'We are delighted to with this recognition from an independent tester. It validates our continuing commitment to deliver high performance, high efficiency boilers with industry leading NO x emissions levels.
'Particularly rewarding is the success has been achieved by one of our less recent models- as our new Optimax HE range takes these key strengths to even higher levels. When our sector leading boilers are combined with our constantly improving service, training and technical support - installers are guaranteed an unrivalled package from Ferroli.'
The Optimax 25 OV is a well established member of Ferroli's range of high efficiency condensing, combination, system and regular open-vented domestic boilers which span from 18 -38kW.
The latest Optimax HE models have been upgraded to include a stylish boiler casing with an integral fascia and a re-designed internal water group assembly to include a built-in automatic by-pass valve (system version only). Each features a new boiler control system and liquid crystal display. With emissions of less than 22mg/k Whr across the range, Ferroli's Optimax HE boilers boast some of the lowest levels available - falling well below the 40mg/k Whr ceiling for NOx class 5.
