Exyte apprentice wins at the BESA National Awards

Melissa Lee, a second-year apprentice welder at Exyte Hargreaves’ main site in Greater Manchester, collected the trophy for Apprentice of the Year in the Heating and Ventilation Level 2 category, at the 2019 BESA National Awards.

Melissa Lee was awarded the trophy for Apprentice of the Year.

This followed success earlier in the year at the BESA North West Regional Awards, which led to Ms Lee being shortlisted for the National Awards.

Ms Lee, currently in the second year of her four-year apprenticeship, is a graduate of Exyte Hargreaves’ Engineering Young Talent Programme (EYTP), which helps to nurture an interest in engineering in children at local schools and colleges.
