EnviroVent donates greenhouse to St Mary's Lodge

EnviroVent has donated a new greenhouse to St Mary’s Lodge, a sheltered housing development for over 60s in Scarborough, owned by Sanctuary Housing.

The greenhouse now has pride of place in the gardens after EnviroVent received a request by Sanctuary Housing to help with replacing an old greenhouse, which was in a bad condition.

Andy Pearson, trades supervisor from Sanctuary Housing, said: “We’re delighted that EnviroVent was able to help our residents out by providing a new greenhouse and we would like to thank them for their support. It will mean a lot to them to be able to grow their own fruit and vegetables again, with benefits to both their health and well-being.”

Lewis Ronaldson, EnviroVent’s ventilation specialist, said: “It’s great to see the new greenhouse at St Mary’s Lodge and to know that it will be put to great use by the residents. We are proud to work with Sanctuary Housing and to be able to give something back to the community here in Scarborough.”

The donation to Sanctuary Housing follows on from EnviroVent hosting its own ‘in it together’ day. On this day, the whole company gave up their normal roles to work in the community on activities such as clearing grounds, weeding and sweeping paths, supporting people living with dementia, taking part in community singing and working with homeless, environmental and animal charities.
