EnOcean Alliance sees membership boom

EnOcean Alliance, the independent, non-profit organisation, which comprises leading international companies from the building sector, has seen a 50% surge in membership in one year and is currently undergoing the strongest period of growth since it was established in 2008.
The group now has a membership base of 300 companies worldwide. New members include Somfy, Telefunken Smart Building, Deuta Controls, Weinzierl, Dooya, Viessmann, Waldmann, NEC, Omron, Vimar and NTT.

In 2008, leading companies from the building sector worldwide joined together to form EnOcean Alliance and establish innovative automation solutions for sustainable building projects, to make buildings more energy-efficient, more flexible and lower in cost.

The Alliance's core technology consists of the EnOcean batteryless wireless technology, which is based on the international standard ISO/IEC 14543-3-10. The technology has been integrated into 1000 interoperable products.
