Emerson has announced that it has agreed to sell its Heating Products business to NIBE Industrier AB.
Emerson Heating Products, is primarily a North American appliance components business, which specialises in heat-related solutions for appliance manufacturing industries including the cookers, dishwashers, and water heaters.
The business has annual sales of approximately $75 million with about 1,100 employees in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Nuevo Laredo in Mexico and Shenzhen in China.
Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. The sale is expected to close by 30 September 2011.
