Chelmsford-based ebm-papst UK, the manufacturer of high efficiency fan and motor products, has issued a challenge to its suppliers and the wider industry.
It is calling for opponents to take the company on in a competitive game of football.
ebm-papst has already played its first match — a 6–6 thriller against another major player in the HVAC industry. The game took place at Sandon Future Soccer 5-a-side pitch in Chelmsford.
H&V divisional manager Lee Pentecost, from ebm-papst said “We’re the industry’s next Real Madrid, unbeaten since March 2016. Admittedly we’ve not played that many games though! That’s why during Euro 2016 we’re calling on our friends in the industry to don their kits and see if they can beat our team of budding Raheem Sterlings and Harry Kanes!”
ebm-papst is a big supporter of English football and proud sponsor of Leyton Orient and Chelmsford City FC .The company sees its sponsorship deals as an important way of showing its commitment to both the football teams and their local communities. The deals see the company’s logo appear on team shirts, as worn by Harry Kane.
