Double promotions boost Baxi New Build team

Baxi Heating UK’s New Build business development team is set for a boost with the addition of two new key account managers.

Nick Houghton-Best, Baxi's key account manager for the North.

Former specification manager Nick Houghton-Best and business development manager Robin Gibbs will assume the positions for the North and South respectively.

The team will continue to strengthen its position in the new build market by offering a full system solution for new build developers, incorporating Potterton boilers and controls, and storage cylinders and future technologies from sister company Heatrae Sadia.

Robin Gibbs is a seasoned sales professional who joined Potterton as business development manager for the South East in December 2014. Prior to this, he was national sales manager at Wolseley, where he’d worked for more than 20 years.

Equally skilled and technically minded, former specification manager Nick Houghton-Best has been with Potterton for a decade and has assisted hundreds of social housing, public sector and private new build clients with specifying reliable and efficient heating and hot water solutions.

Bill Jones, business development director for Potterton, said: “Housebuilders are under sustained pressure to meet the government’s ambitious target to build 300,000 new homes by the mid-2020s. This move will bolster our support offering to this growing market where we already have a significant presence. With Boiler Plus and other changing energy legislation, solutions such as our IFOS in-flue outdoor sensor offer householders a stress-free route to compliance.”

Paul Rivett, managing director of Heatrae Sadia, commented: “Taking an integrated approach to new build specification will ensure our customers will have access to a wide range of innovative heating, hot water and drinking water options to suit every type of development. Our combined knowledge and product offering will assist developers in building homes that are fit for the future, today.”
