Hamworthy Heating has hired two news sales team members, with Paul Fox looking after specifications for consultants in London and Darcy May taking care of Hamworthy’s customers in the East Midlands.

Hamworthy’s new specification manager Paul Fox started his career completing a toolmaking apprenticeship. His Higher National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering built the first step to work in material handling companies dealing with conveyor belts, before moving on to automatic doors and glass partitioning. For the past 10 years, he has been working as specifications engineer in the HVAC industry.

Mr Fox commented: “I’ve been a London-based sales manager for 30 years and love working here. After getting to know the HVAC sector managing specifications for AO Smith and Daikin, I’m excited to look after Hamworthy’s customers in the capital.”

Newly appointed sales manager for the East Midlands, including Leicester, Nottingham and Derby, Darcy May, originally gained a City and Guilds qualification in business and finance and worked as a private investigator for finance companies. Since then, he has spent 25 years working with contractors, consultants and merchants in the heating industry, most recently as senior regional sales manager at water control and plumbing solutions provider, Reliance Water Controls. Before that, Mr May was a sales consultant for hot water expert, Rinnai.

He said: “After working in the HVAC industry for such a long time, I was offered the opportunity to get on-board with one of the most reputable commercial boiler manufacturers in the UK. I believe it’s very important and vital to our economy to keep UK manufacturing alive. Hamworthy has an excellent reputation on products and service; this was an opportunity I couldn’t turn down. I’m excited to be working for such a professional organisation.”
