Demand Logic, Enistic and Max Fordham shortlisted for Ashden Awards

Energy use intelligence experts Demand Logic and Enistic and building services engineers Max Fordham have all been shortlisted for the 2015 Ashden Awards.

The Ashden Awards are a globally recognised measure of excellence in the field of sustainable energy and celebrate the organisations that Ashden considers to be leading the way in this field.

Max Fordham has been shortlisted for its work helping to influence the design of buildings so that they harness natural light and ventilation and use energy-efficient equipment. Their work on new buildings can cut energy use by up to 30%. Demand Logic and Enistic have been selected for their work helping clients to analyse energy usage in buildings and reduce their carbon emissions and their energy bills.

Senior partner at Max Fordham, Guy Nevill, said: “In 2016 our practice celebrates its 50th anniversary. In that time we have strived to make a significant impact on the sustainability of the built environment. To be recognised by an organisation with the gravitas of the Ashden Awards is very gratifying.”

Joe Short, CEO of Demand Logic, said: “We are delighted to be shortlisted for the Ashden Awards. Being selected by such a rigorous judging process, and by such a well-respected and influential charity, will really help us gain even more credibility and trust amongst our target audience.”

Darryl Mattocks, Managing Director of Enistic, said: 'The Enistic team and I are delighted to be nominated for the prestigious Ashden Awards in recognition of our energy management work.'

The Ashden Award winners will be announced at a prestigious awards ceremony at the Royal Geographical Society on 11 June. Speakers at previous ceremonies have included Sir David Attenborough and HRH The Prince of Wales.

Winners collect an award of up to £20,000 and benefit from the prestige of entering an elite group of Ashden Alumni, which can give a huge boost to their chances of attracting new funding and customers. Ashden also gives winners tailored business support and provides networking opportunities to help them scale up their work.

Ashden founder director, Sarah Butler-Sloss, said: “It’s exciting to see such a wide variety of initiatives that are finding innovative ways of spreading the benefits of sustainable energy, which include helping reduce building running costs, tackling fuel poverty, and improving quality of life in our towns and cities.”
