Davidson Holdings has acquired Talon, the manufacturer of pipe clips, pipe trunking and plumbing fixings, for an undisclosed sum.
Talon is Davidson's fifth acquisition since it was established in 2004. Davidson received a funding package for the deal from Santander Corporate Banking.

Managing director of Davidson, Geoffrey Gestetner, will also become md of Talon. Meanwhile, commercial director Don Theobald will continue to be responsible for the sales and marketing side of the business.

Don said: 'Davidson are an ideal parent company for Talon. The strength and wide distribution of the existing brands Cistermiser, Combimate, Fuelstop, Keraflo and Salamander Pumps means that Talon are a perfect fit within the group.'

Talon has been manufacturing pipe clips, fixings and pipe covering systems for more than 25 years and has doubled the size of its manufacturing base in Gillingham, Kent, over the last five years.
