Fume and dust extraction specialist Dantherm Filtration has been acquired by the Swedish group Nederman Holding AB.
The sales price for Dantherm Filtration Holding A/S is £32.6 million (DKK 280m). The sale covers Dantherm Filtration Holding A/S which includes UK and other subsidiaries but the French subsidiary is excluded from the agreement.
Leeds-based Dantherm Filtration's Nordfab Ducting product ranges complement the filtration and extraction equipment manufactured and supplied by Nederman. Dantherm has five global brands – Airmaster, BMD Garant, Cattinair, Ventilatorverken and Nordfab.
On March 26, Danish group Dantherm A/S announced it was divesting its Filtration business from the rest of the group and signed an agreement with the Swedish company Nederman Holding AB. Handover of the Filtration business was earmarked to take place by the end of April.
“Dantherm took over the now divested Filtration activities at the start of 2005. In the intervening period, Dantherm Filtration has developed positively. With the divestment, Dantherm achieves an improved
capital structure with significantly reduced interest-bearing debt,' said Torben Duer, president & CEO of Dantherm.
In 2009, the Nederman Group posted a revenue of EUR 99.1m and the average number of employees was 672.
The new group will become the largest global player in industrial air filtration and dust extraction.
