Dalkia changes to Veolia brand name

Veolia group company, Dalkia plc, has announced that it is adopting the Veolia brand name in the UK.

This will enable it to offer its customers a wider range of environmental services in addition to its energy management and utilities services.

Veolia Environnement operates in multiple locations worldwide and provides tailored solutions to meet the needs of municipal and industrial customers in the water management, waste management and energy management sectors.

While the name change reflects the closer integration of the group, Dalkia will continue to provide customers with its expertise in developing, constructing and operating greener and more economical energy solutions under the new name, to support the sustainable growth of cities and businesses.

Pat Gilroy, formerly Dalkia chief executive officer, will head up the renamed UK subsidiary as chief operating officer industrial customers UK and country head Ireland.

He said: “Dalkia has maintained the energy activity of Veolia for the past 13 years, and for brand clarity purposes, this change to align with the Veolia brand has been considered for a long time.”

“We are delighted that it is finally becoming a reality and we are looking forward to a promising future as a fully integrated group. This will not impact on the services we provide to our customers and we have retained all of our energy and utilities expertise. The change does mean that the newly integrated company will be able to provide significant benefits in terms of an environmental offer to our clients.”
