Daikin sponsors CIBSE webinar

Daikin UK is sponsoring CIBSE’s next CPD accredited webinar called Future Proofing HVAC Design to Deliver Excellence in Lifetime Operation on Thursday 6 November at 1pm, as part of its Future Thinking programme, created to encourage those who work in building services to think about the issues that will affect the industry in the next few years.

Product manager at Daikin UK Martin Passingham and Graham Wright (pictured), legislation specialist and HEVAC president, will present the webinar, focusing a range of topics including seasonally efficient product design, how to optimise systems for seasonal efficiency and the implications for system designers.

Chaired by Tim Dwyer from CIBSE Journal, the webinar will look at both seasonal efficiency in the context of Part L and the building life cycle and at total HVAC solutions that integrate heat recovery techniques designed to maximise seasonal efficiency without compromising the comfort of building users. It will also look at how to design HVAC systems in a sustainable, flexible way, taking into account future legislation and business drivers.

Martin Passingham said: “This webinar provides us with the opportunity to present future thinking ideas to CIBSE members on how to accurately assess energy consumption of heating and cooling technologies in commercial buildings, and to discuss how integral the consideration of the environmental impact of HVAC systems is to building design.

“Along with Colin Rees, consultancy manager at Integrated Environmental Solutions, and Tim Dwyer from CIBSE Journal we look forward to presenting our ideas and gaining valuable feedback from those in the building services industry.”

The webinar is open to all CIBSE members and non-members and those wishing to gain CPD credits for HVAC design. To sign up to the webinar, visit http://bit.ly/1wgklle.
