CTC wins MCS approval for heat pump

Renewables manufacturer CTC, part of UK owned heating and combustion specialist Enertech Group, has been awarded Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) approval for its EcoAir air to water heat pump range.
The individual EcoAir products now BRE Global Listed for the Micro Generation Scheme include EcoAir units from 5 to 20kW, stretching across both domestic and commercial applications.
Colin Pavey, sales manager for renewables at CTC said: 'The accreditation for the EcoAir range will give confidence to customers who want to go green and the MCS 'badge' is certain to be critical to qualifying for the renewable heat incentive or any other future financial support package offered by the Government.
'The MCS approval of the EcoAir follows the accreditation of our wood pellet boiler, EcoFlex, earlier this year, so we are pleased to be able to offer our customers a range of technologies through the MCS scheme.'
EcoAir heat pumps feature large evaporators designed to maximise operating efficiencies and minimise defrost cycles. The larger output EcoAir units can, says CTC, provide flow temperatures up to 65 deg C, useful for certain applications.
