Countdown begins to the ACR Show 2014

With just under a year before the doors open, the countdown has started to the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Show (ACR Show) 2014.
Countdown begins to the ACR Show 2014
The event, which takes place at the NEC from 11-13 February 2014, is the only national exhibition for the UK's cooling industry.

Jan Thorpe, event director, said: 'It's one of the country's vital industries, ensuring the comfort of people in buildings and underpinning food and drink production and industrial manufacturing.'

'Held once every two years, the show is a must-attend event and enables contractors, installers, consultants and end users to see the latest technology and get up-to-date with important legal and commercial developments across the commercial and industrial cooling sector.'

Visitors have free access to the UK's top cooling experts in a programme of cutting edge seminars which will run in twin auditoriums throughout the three days of the exhibition.

Themes will include:

· advances in cooling technology;
· the rise of ultra-efficient heat pumps;
· cutting energy use and running costs;
· new green refrigerants;
· advice on legal compliance;
· harnessing virtual power stations;
· the emergence of new materials;
· innovative approaches to controlling noise.

Alongside the technical programme will be a series of high profile business seminars, highlighting how companies can improve profitability, manage risk and exploit new commercial opportunities coming on stream.

The show will build on the success of the launch event in 2012, which delivered a solid visitor base of senior people with proven buying power.

New visitor features include a practical demonstration zone giving visitors hands-on insights into the latest plant and equipment, plus the opportunity to get trained in essential field skills.

The exhibition is supported by the industry's leading trade associations, including contractor's organisation B&ES Association, manufacturer's groups HEVAC and BRA, and the industry's professional body, The Institute of Refrigeration (IOR).

With less than a year to go, the organisers report that bookings from exhibitors are flowing in.

Confirmed exhibitors include AFR Refrigeration, A-Gas, AHT, Broughton, Charles Austen Pumps, Comptec, CPS Products, GEA Searle, Dean & Wood, Dupont, Harp International / Mexichem, Honeywell, Gram, JAVAC, Jumo, Lordan, Mastercool, Maxkold, Primalec, Teknic Refrigeration, UR Refrigeration Wholesale.
