Conex Bänninger completes UK team

Conex Bänninger has completed the expansion of its UK sales team with the appointments of two new technical sales managers for Scotland and Northern Ireland and London and the South East.

Tom Dickson, technical sales manager for Scotland and Northern Ireland, and Micky Simpson, technical sales manager for London and the South East.

Both Tom Dickson, who will operate across Scotland and Northern Ireland, and Micky Simpson, working across London and the South East, have extensive experience in the heating and plumbing sector.

Mr Dickson has worked in the industry for 15 years, most recently for two of the UK’s best-known boiler manufacturers. He said: “Conex Bänninger is a well-respected global plumbing fittings brand and I look forward to working closely with the merchants, local authorities, consultants and contractors in both Scotland and Northern Ireland.”

Mr Simpson, meanwhile, has nearly 20 years’ experience, having held sales positions from merchant manager through to sales manager. He said: “Having worked extensively within the pipe and fittings market, I fully understand customers’ needs both in the m&e and domestic sectors.”

Prior to joining Conex Bänninger, Mr Simpson worked with many of the major contractors in London, selling heat interface units in to the new-build market.

Dan Wild, Conex Bänninger's business unit director for the UK and Ireland, said: “Tom and Micky are two excellent new recruits to the team. Their market knowledge and customer experience will be invaluable as we continue to promote the benefits of our innovative flame-free >B< Press range.

“As well as having the advantage of a >B< profile three-point press, providing a safe, secure and repeatable joint, being flame-free there is no need for a hot works permit, which is a major plus over traditional brazing.”
