Cofely has opened its new UK headquarters at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and is the first business to establish a presence at the former Olympic site.
The official opening on 20 February was marked with the unveiling of a plaque by Jérôme Tolot, chief executive officer of GDF SUEZ Energy Services.
The newly refurbished office spaces are located in the 'Retained Building' adjacent to the Kings Yard Energy Centre. Kings Yard is one of two energy centres serving the Olympic Park & Stratford City District Energy Scheme, which is being operated and maintained by Cofely under a 40 year concession agreement.
Colin Hale, ceo of Cofely UK, said: 'Cofely has had a presence on the site since we first started constructing the energy centre and we are delighted to have now made this fascinating and historical building our new UK headquarters. It also places us at the heart of one of the many exciting district energy schemes we are developing across London and the UK.'
