Cofathec buys Resource Environmental
Resource Environmental is an M&E maintenance and installation specialist, based in Berkshire. It employs 100 staff and has a turnover of £10m.

The Cofathec Group aims to achieve growth across Europe through the acquisition of firms. The purchase of Resource Environmental follows the UK acquisitions of Deltec Maintenance Company in 2006 and Energy Services in 2005.

Cofathec, a major European service provider specialising in energy services solutions and facilities management, has a turnover of €1.7 billion and more than 8,000 staff.

“Resource Environmental provides an excellent strategic fit with our existing activities, increasing our nationwide portfolio of maintenance contracts and providing a significant boost to our presence in the South West where they are particularly strong,” said Cofathec Chief Executive Richard Derry.

“At the same time, we will be able to offer Resource Environmental clients a wider range of integrated services, including energy supply and management,” he said.

Cofathec offers industrial, residential, service, commercial and public sector customers a comprehensive range of facilities services in 9 European countries.
