Christmas on ice with Mather+Stuart

Temporary power equipment specialist Mather+Stuart is helping to bring Christmas on ice to shoppers in Gloucester and Derby.

Generators have been supplied to power chillers for pop-up festive ice rinks at a shopping outlet village in Gloucester and the Cathedral Quarter in Derby.

Two 200kVA JCB T3A emission synchronised gen-sets have been provided at Gloucester Quays while two 150kVA gen-sets have been provided to keep things cool in Derby’s Market Place.

Both ice rinks are managed and run by Christmas Ice Rink, which is a sister company of Showplace, the event infrastructure specialists.

It is the third year in a row that Mather+Stuart has supplied generators for the ice-skating festivities in Derby, which run throughout December.

Meanwhile, it is the first time that the specialist division of A-Plant has supplied equipment at Gloucester Quays, which is hosting its winter celebrations until January 2.

Dave Ingram, sales manager at Mather+Stuart Power Solutions, said they had an excellent reputation for delivering reliability and customer service as well as the very latest equipment.

“We worked closely with our clients to ensure we provided the right kind of equipment to meet their needs taking into account all site, environmental and technical conditions.

“The synchronised generators ensure uninterrupted supplies of power which means that people will be able to enjoy a real outdoor ice rink experience throughout the run up to Christmas and beyond.”
