Chillventa 2016 hailed a success

This year’s Chillventa show has been hailed a success by organiser NürnbergMesse.

Both exhibitor and visitor numbers increased overall. Trade visitor numbers were up 5 per cent compared with 2014 at 32,2061. As in previous years, exhibitor numbers remained high, with a total of 9821 companies participating. This year the growth in display area was particularly impressive, having increased by 13 per cent compared with the previous event.

On the day before the trade fair started, the Chillventa Congress impressed the professional community of 260 delegates and presenters from 31 countries with its high-calibre programme and first class speakers from all over the world.

This year was the fifth Chillventa and the event once again turned the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg into the world's largest and most important international gathering for the refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation and heat pump community.

Richard Krowoza, member of the management board at NürnbergMesse, said: “We are very satisfied with Chillventa 2016. The display area grew significantly yet again and attracted even more trade visitors to Nuremberg. The ‘Chillventa Connecting Experts’ motto lived up to its promise at the world's leading fair for the sector. Two-thirds of exhibitors came from outside Germany and the international visitor contingent stood at 56 per cent, reflecting the outstanding commitment to this event by the industry worldwide.”

Feedback form exhibitors was also positive with all saying they got to meet exactly the kind of visitors they needed. This positive outlook was also reinforced by an independent exhibitor poll, in which 93 per cent of exhibiting companies stated that the event had been a success for them. Around 94 per cent were able to forge new business contacts and nine out of ten companies expected follow-on business from the event. Even before the fair was over, 88 per cent of exhibitors polled said they would be back in 2018.
