CE Mark extension announced

CE Marked goods can continue to be placed on the GB market until 1st January 2023, the Government has announced.

This extension means that all product sectors now have until then to prepare to use the UKCA Mark, with the exception of medical devices. The UKCA Mark can be used now, and the Government is encouraging businesses to start using it as soon as possible, with it becoming mandatory for placing goods on the market in Great Britain from 1stJanuary 2023.

The Government has confirmed that they remain entirely committed to supporting industry in adapting to the UKCA Mark and will continue to engage actively with industry over the coming 16 months.

The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) is hosting a webinar aimed at businesses on Thursday 2nd September at 2pm. This webinar is intended to help businesses understand upcoming changes and the actions they need to take.
