Carrier to host webinar on empowering the future with high-temperature heat pumps

In today’s built environment, wasted energy is a huge problem. Demand Logic revealed recently that UK office buildings alone continue to waste the equivalent of an entire year’s CO2 emissions from 3,470 homes in just 24 hours, due largely to inefficient or inappropriate heating and cooling systems. In response, Carrier Commercial HVAC will host a live webinar this August to explore how it can support the next phase of decarbonisation in commercial buildings.

Taking place on Thursday 28th August 2025, from 10:00am - 11:00am, the free-to-attend session will explore how the Carrier's 61AQ high-temperature air-source heat pump offers a smart, future-ready solution for efficient heating, even in the most demanding retrofit and new-build applications.

Powered by R-290 natural refrigerant, the 61AQ delivers hot water up to 75°C and achieves energy efficiencies up to 30% above current Ecodesign requirements making it ideal for projects where performance, sustainability and compliance matter most.

This webinar will explain how the 61AQ directly addresses this waste by delivering precisely controlled high-temperature heating with intelligent controls, reducing unnecessary energy use and emissions.

Led by Carrier’s HVAC experts, attendees will learn about current market trends and legislation shaping decarbonisation strategy and explore what makes the 61AQ different in terms of performance, safety and sustainability. There will also be insight into real-world applications and practical advice on integration, installation and aftermarket support.

Towards the end of the hour, there will be a live Q&A session with Carrier’s specialists, including Carrier’s UK product manager for chillers and heat pumps, David Addo.

“This webinar is an opportunity to share how our latest heat pump technology is supporting the shift to low-carbon, high-efficiency buildings,” said Graham Smith, Commercial Sales Director at Carrier Commercial HVAC UK&I. “It’s your chance to learn how the 61AQ can help decarbonise your building using reliable high-temperature heating, strong energy performance and a natural refrigerant.”

Carrier’s commitment to sustainable innovation is rooted in its 2030 ESG goals, including the aim to help customers avoid more than 1 gigaton of greenhouse gas emissions. The 61AQ represents a major step towards that ambition, combining natural refrigerant technology with smart controls, modular scalability and class-leading acoustic performance.

Don’t miss the chance to learn how high-temperature heat pumps can empower the future of building performance.
