Professionals from building services are invited to demonstrate team work skills and raise money for the Everyman cancer charity at the Building Services World Cup on June 12-13.

'Considering the tough year we have all had, we are encouraging individuals from all parts of the building services industry to register their own team and take part. The event allows us to raise money for a very worthy cause while giving us all an opportunity to let off some steam!' said Nigel Huggins, managing director of Tour & Andersson, a world cup sponsor.

For those who do not wish to take part in the world cup tournament hosted in Liverpool, a golf day and summer ball are also being organised to raise cash for the charity.

'This is the second year we have held the world cup tournament and as such, we are looking to generate interest amongst building services professionals to make this event as successful as last year', said Andy Sneyd, head organiser of the events.

Carbon reductions for northern arena

The company has produced a designed system based on its R290 high-temperature heat pump. This arena regularly hosts large events such as concerts, conferences, theatre plays, exhibitions, live music and other conventions – so the site must have an energy efficient and carbon-reducing hot water system to achieve NetZero.
