BSS Group expects challenging market throughout 2010

“I am pleased to report that revenue and earnings of the group have held up well” said Gavin Slark, group chief executive of the BSS Group, a distributor to specialist trades, which announced its interim results.
Adjusted profit before tax for the six months ended September 30, 2009 fell by £7.1m (23.4%) to £23.3m (2008: £30.4m) on revenue of £650.6m, a 3.6% decrease on last year (2008: £685.9m) on an equivalent trading day basis.
