BSRIA's handover handbook out now
[firstParagraph]
BSRIA has published a new guide aimed at all construction professionals involved in the design, construction or handover of buildings.
Named Handover, O&M Manuals and Project Feedback, BG1/2007, the handbook replaces two former guides ('Handover and Information for Building Services', and 'Operation and Maintenance Manuals'. Its guidance includes energy certification procedures (to meet the requirements of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive.
'Handover, O&M Manuals and Project Feedback reflects the significant shift towards improving the operational performance of buildings,' says co-author Roderic Bunn. ' For this reason the publication includes guidance on carrying out energy performance analysis, and ways to benchmark the results.'
'If the industry uses the tools described in the guide, they should be able to deliver better-performing buildings, significantly more usable O&M manuals, less energy hungry building services, and happier and more productive occupants,' he added.
Handover, O&M Manuals and Project Feedback, BG1/2007 is priced at £30 for BSRIA Members (Normal price £60) For details visit www.bsria.co.uk/bookshop.
