BSRIA technical manager to speak at Eco Asia Expo

BSRIA technical manager, Compliance Department, Tom Jones, is delivering a speech at the Eco Asia Expo in Hong Kong on regarding energy efficiency in buildings.

Tom’s speech will specifically cover how air leakage is measured, the effect of regulations on air leakage in the UK and the impact on energy of reducing air leakage.

Celebrating its 10th year, Eco Expo Asia is the pre-eminent trading platform for green businesses in Asia, where industry experts and internationally renowned brands gather at AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong from 28th – 31st October 2015.

Tom said: “This is an excellent opportunity for attendees to hear about some of the energy efficiency best practice measures BSRIA is involved in and promotes. I am delighted to have been asked to speak at this prestigious event so that industry experts in Hong Kong can gain some valuable nuggets of the vital work being carried out in the UK in these fields.”

The annual show is organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, with co-organisation by the Environment Bureau of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR).

At previous shows, the latest insights on the emerging green market in Asia was offered by guest speakers including the Secretary for the Environment of the Government of the HKSAR, and the Chief Executive Officer from the Green Council.

While in Hong Kong, Tom will also be participating in the EuroCham Environment Seminar: Energy Efficiency of Buildings which, will include Ms Christine Loh Kung-wai, Under Secretary for the Environment and give presentations to the Hong Kong Institute of Engineers and members of HAESCO.
