BSRIA hosts BREEAM and LEED talks

BSRIA is hosting presentations on BREEAM and LEED to promote a better understanding of the key issues related to the environmental assessment of buildings.
For many years, the primary environmental assessment tool used for buildings in the UK has been BREEAM (BRE Environmental Assessment Method), but many buildings are now being assessed using tools such as LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design).

At the London event on January 21, 2009, an introduction will be given by Ant Wilson of Faber Maunsell. This will be followed by a BREEAM presentation provided by David Cheshire of Faber Maunsell.

Eszter Gulacsy of MTT Sustain will be discussing LEED.

Jules Saunderson of Fulcrum Consulting will present a talk about 'Building environmental assessment tools'.

The Energy and Sustainability network is open to all BSRIA members and includes representatives from building operators, consultants, service providers and manufacturers in the building services sector. The network meets two to three times per year.
