As part of its succession plans, AmbiRad Group, which manufactures and supplies warm air heating and ventilation systems, gas fired radiant tube and environmental systems, has announced management changes following more than three decades of sustained growth.
AmbiRad's group managing director, Mike Brookes, is to become the company's chairman while operations director, Chris Yates, will become the group's new managing director.
A founding member of AmbiRad, Brookes has seen the company expand during its 31-year history, from modest beginnings into one of Europe's foremost HVAC companies. Now, AmbiRad operates with manufacturing units in Brierley Hill and Knighton, a distribution centre at Folkestone and sales/service offices at Stockport and Braintree. It has a turnover of £25million and employs 230 people.
A worthy successor, Chris Yates joined AmbiRad in 1982 before leaving to gain experience in a larger organisation. He returned 12 years later and was part of the management buy-out team that saw the group restructured in 2006.
