BRA and HEVAC presidents step up

Bob Arthur of Marks and Spencer took over as president of the British Refrigeration Association in July. The outgoing president, Eddie Gittoes of Arctic Circle becomes the immediate past president.
Geoff Lockwood of ebm-Papst UK became president of the Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning Manufacturers Association at the same time, taking over the reins from Paul Wenden of Flakt-Woods who becomes the immediate past president.

Both new presidents will serve a term of two years. Arthur is also chairman of the FETA Board for the first year of the two year period and will be followed by Geoff Lockwood for the following year.

Carbon reductions for northern arena

Rinnai hot water systems are projected to produce ‘significant’ carbon reductions at a huge indoor arena in the North of England. The company has produced a designed system based on its R290 high-temperature heat pump. This arena regularly hosts large events such as concerts, conferences, theatre plays, exhibitions, live music and other conventions – so the site must have an energy efficient and carbon-reducing hot water system to achieve NetZero.
