BoilerMag first choice for hero gas engineer

Ben Frost, of A Touch of Frost Ltd., based in Rushden, Northamptonshire, has sung the praises of BoilerMag’s magnetic domestic heating filters.

A domestic application using a BoilerMag heating filter

As a Baxi supporting installer, Ben regularly fits or recommends the magnetic filtration systems to his customers’ heating systems having noticed the impressive benefits following a recommendation from his supplier, Watertight Plumbing and Heating Supplies.

BoilerMag provides a tried and trusted patented magnetic technology that ensures virtually 100% of ferrous oxide and scale is removed on first pass. The filter can be installed within minutes and will protect for years. Its easy clean mechanism makes maintenance simple and efficient, removing both magnetic and non-magnetic debris in seconds.

The dual-flow technology filters twice on each pass of the system and the innovative design offers guaranteed protection against blockages. The high-quality valves and seals enable the BoilerMag filter to fit easily in-line and has a 360-degree adjustment.

Speaking of the filter, Ben said. “I always fit BoilerMags. If I service a boiler that doesn’t have one, I always recommend that one is fitted in the very near future. The Part L Compliance Pack that BoilerMag supply with scale reducer, cleaner and inhibitor is the only kit I order. It is fantastic. Rather than shopping about for separate parts and is keenly priced as well; to have a pack with it in there is fantastic. When Watertight showed me the pack I never turned back.”

Ben has shown true compassion working through the pandemic, recently coming to the rescue of NHS keyworker, Jackie Valentine. After bearing the brunt of the Coronavirus pandemic, Ms Valentine, was left without heating or hot water when her boiler broke down in the grips of winter. An end of life worker who has been stationed solely on Northamptonshire’s COVID wards over the last four months, Ms Valentine was left desperate for help with her erratic shift patterns had her struggling to fix the issue.

Following a call out to the condemned boiler, heating engineer Ben was so moved by Jackie’s story, he pledged to fix the heating system free of charge. Absorbing much of the cost himself, Ben offered his labour for free whilst writing off some parts from his stock with others donated courtesy of Steve Ryan at Watertight Plumbing and Heating Supplies. Ms Valentine’s heating is now restored thanks to the efforts from A Touch of Frost Ltd.

Craig Worth, national sales manager at BoilerMag said of the act of kindness, “It’s always great to hear about positive stories from our suppliers and installers, and to hear of Ben’s act of kindness for a keyworker in need is particularly heart-warming. To receive such positive feedback about our products from such a respectable professional is particularly rewarding and we’re pleased to work alongside tradespeople like Ben.”
