BG Energy Solutions opens London office

BG Energy Solutions (BGES), one of the UK’s leading independent BMS and energy management companies, has strengthened its national presence with the opening of a new office in London.

The expansion will allow the Sheffield-based building controls and energy solutions specialist to better serve its growing client base in the South of England.

The award-winning business has been headquartered in Sheffield since it was established in 1995, where today it employs over 50 experienced engineers. With strong roots in the building controls arena, the BGES team offers impartial and expert guidance on using technology to make buildings smarter and more efficient.

The company’s new London office has been opened in response to a growing number of clients and opportunities in London and the South of England.

Heading-up the BGES London team is Lewis Locke who has joined as regional manager. Mr Locke is a highly experienced figure in the controls and built environment sector, having worked at George Birchall, Chartwell Controls and Eton Associates. He brings with him a wealth of local contacts and experience.

Gareth Barber, managing director, said: “We are really excited to be able to expand our national reach with new offices in London. Being ‘on the ground’ at client sites is a crucial part of managing projects seamlessly and getting to the heart of our customers’ energy management challenges.

“We are delighted to have Lewis Locke on board to lead our services and projects in the region. There is no doubt, our new base in London gives us a firm foundation for future growth and it further strengthens our position as one of the UK’s leading energy management companies.”

BGES anticipates strong growth throughout 2019 and will continue to invest in its Northern base near Sheffield.

“The North of England is where are roots are – and we are proud to be part of the Northern Powerhouse,” concluded Mr Barber.
