Robert Harness of ebm-papst UK, has been made a member of the board of certification body Building and Engineering Services Competence Assessment (BESCA).
BESCA is an independent group set up by the Building & Engineering Services Association (B&ES), which certifies Energy Assessors for air conditioning inspections, EPCs and DECs, and the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (solar panel installers) under the Competent Persons Scheme.
Robert will join other impartial industry representatives who were selected to be on the board for their expertise and specialist knowledge of the sector.
As a business development manager promoting energy saving HVAC upgrades for ebm-papst, Robert said: 'I'm looking forward to being part of BESCA's important work to raise standards in the fast-growing market for sustainable technologies and giving my input into central issues that the industry faces. Promoting best practice is a crucial part of maintaining the credibility of this sector and I am really pleased to be representing suppliers as a member of BESCA's board.'
