Baxi gets behind rising boxing star

British boiler manufacturer Baxi has agreed a sponsorship deal with professional light heavyweight boxer Lyndon “King” Arthur.

Light heavyweight boxer Lyndon “King” Arthur.

Lyndon, who is based in Manchester, was signed by legendary boxing promoter Frank Warren at the start of the year and has already racked up nine fights and nine wins, including seven knockouts.

As a sponsor, Baxi will have its logo displayed on Lyndon’s shorts, vests and t-shirts and will be working with him for promotional purposes.

Lyndon’s next fight will be in Manchester on Saturday May 5.

Dave Cook, sales director at Baxi said: “As the manufacturer of the lightest boiler on the market it made sense for us to support emerging talent in the light heavyweight category. We also wanted to sponsor a fighter who was local to our headquarters in Preston.

“Lyndon has enjoyed a meteoric rise to fame in recent months and we look forward to working with him in his breakout year.”

Commenting on his new sponsor, Lyndon said: “It’s an exciting time for British boxing right now and I’d like to thank Baxi for supporting new talent. I can’t wait to put on a show for the team on May 5.”
