Baxi / Remeha merger results in name change

Following the merger of Baxi Group with De Dietrich Remeha in 2009, the Group will now be known as BDR Thermea.
In the UK, BDR Thermea is the largest heating manufacturer, with a range of domestic and commercial boilers, low carbon products, hot water storage cylinders, electric water heating products and fires. The individual brands, such as Baxi, Remeha, Potterton, Main, Heatrae Sadia, Potterton Commercial, Andrews Water Heaters and Valor, are individual market leading brands, and will remain unchanged.
BDR Thermea claims that the merger places it as a world leading manufacturer and distributor of heating and hot water systems and services. 'The Group has a top market position in Western Europe and strong positions in rapidly growing international markets. In total it operates in more than 70 countries worldwide employing over 6,400 people,' the company added.
Mark Kelly, CEO of BDR Thermea UK and Ireland, said: 'The Group will continue to operate in its current structure and individual brands will remain the same. We will continue to offer the same excellent level of support and our award winning service operation will be supporting all brands.'
