Balfour Beatty awarded £3.2m London overground contract
The works for customer London Overground Infrastructure comprise a new 1.3 km rail link from the existing Network Rail lines at Old Kent Road to existing East London Lines at Surrey Quays.

BBES will design, install, test and commission services to meet the power systems requirements for the new rail extension.

The project incorporates complex systems engineering requirements, underpinning the interface and coordination with the civils and signalling systems contractors and the integration with the existing NR and ELL operational railways.
